Where:

– Order: The number that specifies how to rank. If Order=0, the rank is in descending order, order is another number, then queue in ascending order.

Consider an example

– Order=0 case:

We want to see the rank of the number 2 in descending order as we do as shown below. In cell D6 , enter the formula =RANK(C6,C6:C11). And get the result as shown below

– Case 2: Order other than 0

We want to see the rank of the number 2 in ascending order. In cell D6 , enter the formula =RANK(C6,C6:C11,1). And get the result as shown below
